Day 150: Class 138: Hot sweaty fun

Wanna do a summer 30 day challenge?  Adele asks this as I glide in the door for 530 yoga with Dominique.  Sure.  I answer breezily.  Why not.  I'm going on a trip next week, I tell her.  But I'll start it when I get back.  She smiles broadly.
So there you have it.  I'll embark on a 30 day challenge when I get back from my trip.  It will truly be a challenge because I will have to force myself to go to 930 PM class every Thursday night after bowling.  That will suck....and make it interesting I suppose.
So I'll stop hoping to "catch up" (see title: I'm 12 classes behind still) and just go balls to the wall and do another challenge.
Duffy, Hannah, Dancing J, Corva, BJ, Shelley, Michelle, Reggi, George, Karen, Jenn, anybody who follows this blog!!.....(did I miss anybody?? )....any of you up for doing this with me?
Summer yoga challenge!  Give me a shout out in the comments if you want to do it with me.  We'll start Monday July 6th.

The reason for this post:  class tonight was awesome!  Instructors Frank and Adele were in second row behind Shelley, Reggi and I and regular Karen was also in second row, behind me.  The room was pretty full, Dominique was "on" and the temperature was pretty toasty.  We sweated and pushed and breathed and stretched.  It was awesome!  The camaraderie and energy was fantastic and I left the studio feeling like everything is and will be OK.

  2. I'm sort of doing my own yoga challenge of sorts and not really inclined to commit to Bikram everyday. But I will be rooting for you!

  3. Ahhh! So tempting!! I'm gone for three straight weekends in July (two of which are long weekends away), which would make for a lot of doubles, since two of the places I'm going definitely don't have Bikram studios. Hmm... I'll give my calendar a good look-through and see if I can swing this. It'd be really fun to all do this together, however virtually. :)

  4. I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now, and know I'll be needing some extra motivation throughout the summer. I'm in! Is your studio closed on July 9th for Bikram's guru? I haven't heard anything yet, but I'm assuming mine will be.

  10. I would love to join you for a 30 day! I've just started reading your blog and it's a great motivation. I have been so interested in doing a challenge, but I'm nursing a knee injury. It's getting so much better, and I know it will be ready to go by July 10. Hooray! Sadly, I am blogless. Maybe I should start one?

  11. Rebekah~ A blog is nice because you can go back later and read your entries and see your physical and emotional ups and downs during your challenge...and overall growth! If you start one, put your link in my comments! :) So glad you will join us for the challenge!
Yes, we are on for the 10th. I have a business trip in early August that will throw a 2 day monkey wrench in for me and make it that much harder (will need to do 2 doubles). I feel up to it though, I'm on vacation right now and have not missed a day of yoga, have gone every morning here and it's awesome!
